How are files preserved?

From a few minutes browsing your docs, I didn't yet understand what is Cosmonic.
Can anyone provide (like as in Internet Computer or Fluence) a host to run Cosmonic on his hardware?
If yes, how it is insured that my files won't be deleted by the host owner?
If Cosmonic does not allow everybody to provide a host, then you provide your own host. How is it different from a regular cloud service like AWS?

Great questions Victor. For more information on filesystem usage, check out https://cosmonic.com/docs/capabilities/blobstore/filesystem.

To more generally answer your questions:
    1. For your Cosmonic account, we have managed hosts and you can connect in your own infrastructure to self-manage hosts. The host is just a process that runs on a computer, whether it's Mac, Windows, or Linux: https://cosmonic.com/docs/faq/glossary#host. The host is responsible for running WebAssembly modules that make up your applications.
    2. For Cosmonic managed hosts, we don't make any guarantees that files persisted to disk will stick around, at least in our current developer preview phase. If persisted files is of interest I can document that as a feature request.
    3. Cosmonic allows you to take advantage of managed hosts or seamlessly bridge in your own, making it more flexible than a traditional cloud provider. It's not much different in terms of having hosted compute, but the capabilities you get with Cosmonic don't tie you to our cloud service.

If you have further questions, I'm happy to answer them!

Obviously, the feature for persisted files to be guaranteed not to disappear or be damaged is important.
